Sound familiar?

The everyday problems the CA, Tax & Accounting Practice app takes off your plate.

Chasing clients for documents

Every month we message each client for invoices, bank statements and payroll data. Half of them send it the day before the deadline.

Deadlines kept in someone's head

GST, TDS, VAT and annual returns for hundreds of clients sit in a spreadsheet. A missed return shows up as a late fee and an unhappy client.

Returns filed without a second check

The person who prepared the return also files it. Nobody can see what is waiting for review, and fees fall overdue while the work goes on.

How it works

From the first message to a finished job, step by step.

  1. 1

    Enquiry and engagement

An enquiry comes in on WhatsApp. Send a fee proposal, then the engagement letter; the client replies ACCEPT to confirm. Onboarding documents are requested in the chat.

  2. 2

    Set up the calendar

Add each registration (GSTIN, TAN, VAT TRN, UTR and so on) and one engagement per registration and service. Filings are generated period by period with their due dates.

  3. 3

    Collect documents

Each filing gets its document checklist. The request goes out on WhatsApp before the due date, with reminders and an escalation if documents are still missing.

  4. 4

    Prepare, review and file

The preparer sends the filing to review. Only the named reviewer, never the preparer, approves it. Marking it filed needs the acknowledgement and locks the filing.

  5. 5

    Tell the client and bill

The client gets the filing confirmation with the cover note, and the tax payable advice. Retainer invoices go out each month with payment reminders.

What's inside

The records the app sets up for you, already linked together, with forms, lists, boards and dashboards.

Clients

Individuals and businesses with country, financial year, preparer, reviewer, manager and partner, risk rating and billing terms.

Registrations

Each tax ID a client holds, such as a GSTIN, TAN, VAT TRN or UTR, with a format check. Tax IDs are hidden from billing staff.

Services and due rules

The filing calendar as data you can edit: 43 services for India, the UAE and the UK, with 38 versioned due rules.

Engagements

One engagement per registration and service, with its frequency. Changing from monthly to quarterly never creates a filing twice.

Filings

One per period, with the statutory due date, a working due date you can extend, the preparer and reviewer, the acknowledgement and the tax payable.

Documents

The documents needed for each filing, from a checklist per service, marked received, verified or rejected.

Notices

Notices from the tax authority with the reply due date, extensions, hearings, the demand amount and partner approval of the reply.

Proposals

New business from enquiry to fee proposal, engagement letter and onboarding, with lost reasons.

Invoices and payments

Monthly retainer and one-off invoices with tax, payments with TDS, receipts and bounces.

Time entries

Time spent per client, billable or not, for the realisation report.

Runs itself

Automations that are switched on when you install the app.

  • Filings are generated period by period for every active engagement, each with its statutory due date and document checklist
  • Document requests go out before the due date, followed by reminders, a final reminder and an escalation to the team
  • Filings that are not ready close to the due date are flagged to the partner, with alerts on the due date and when late
  • The client gets the filing confirmation and the tax payable advice, then a tax payment reminder before and on the payment date
  • Notice reply reminders 7, 3 and 1 days before and on the due date, with the partner alerted 2 days before
  • Monthly retainer invoices, with fee reminders 3 days before, on the due date and after 3 and 7 days; billing and the partner are alerted at 15 days
  • A client with fees 60 days overdue is flagged for a work-hold decision; work is never stopped automatically
  • Fee proposal follow-ups after 1, 3 and 7 days, until the client replies
  • An ACCEPT reply to the engagement letter marks it accepted and asks for the onboarding documents
  • Upsell suggestions each month as a report, never sent as a message

Questions

Common questions about the CA, Tax & Accounting Practice app.

Is this accounting or bookkeeping software?

No. It runs your practice: clients, registrations, the filing calendar, documents, reviews, notices and your own fees. Your clients' books stay in the accounting software you already use.

Does the app file returns with the tax portal?

No. The app records and reminds. It never files with any government portal and never stores portal passwords. Your team files as usual and records the acknowledgement.

Can I rely on the due dates in the calendar?

The calendar is a starting point, not tax advice. Due dates change and authorities announce extensions, so always check them against the official source. You can extend a filing's working due date one by one or in bulk, and edit the services and due rules for your firm.

Which countries does the calendar cover?

India (GST, TDS, ITR, advance tax, ROC, PF and ESI), the UAE (VAT and Corporate Tax) and the UK (VAT, Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, PAYE, CIS and Companies House): 43 services in all. You can add your own.

How are WhatsApp messages sent outside the 24-hour window?

Inside the 24-hour window, messages go out as normal chat replies. Outside it, the app uses its 21 WhatsApp message templates, which are submitted for Meta approval when your workspace is linked to the Team Inbox. The templates are in English. Until a template is approved, the preparer is asked to send that message by hand.

Can preparers see every client?

No. Preparers see only their own clients. Tax IDs are hidden from billing staff. When someone leaves, their clients and filings can be reassigned in bulk.

Can I change the services, checklists or messages?

Yes. Everything the app installs can be edited with the visual builders or by asking the AI Builder, for example to add a service with its own document checklist or change when reminders go out.
