No. Every entity gets working list, detail and form screens automatically. The layout editor is for when you want to change them.
Can different roles see different fields?
Yes. Field-level permissions hide or lock fields per role, and the screens respect them. See the Permissions page.
Can the AI Builder design layouts too?
